Vision Rehabilitation is a category of vision care that provides several highly specialized services: low vision, vision therapy, and myopia control. Doctors may be optometrists or ophthalmologists.  As there are relatively few doctors that provide these highly specialized services, VisionRehab.com was developed to assist consumers in finding the right professional for their needs. Our true goal is to minimize confusion for consumers and family members in search of care.

What VisionRehab.com  Does:

Vision Rehab is a doctor-finder for consumers in search of eye care professionals who provide vision rehabilitation services. Each office listed on our website undergoes a careful evaluation and on-boarding process so that doctors services are listed accurately in our system.

What VisionRehab.com DOESN’T Do:

We DO NOT certify or license doctors skills or abilities to provide health care. Those details are managed by each state licensing body.

Low Vision

  • LV1: Practices providing basic low vision products in their offices. These practices do not provide high-tech solutions such as video magnification and software, and do not provide in-home or daily living support/training.
  • LV2: Practices providing expanded low vision services and devices (video magnification, bioptic driving, advanced telescopic devices, and some advanced technology & software)
  • LV3: Comprehensive Low Vision Rehabilitation Practices provide all levels of
hand magnifier

Vision Therapy

  • VT1: Practices providing non-perceptual therapy services, which we term as “motor” disorders. This includes visual skills such as accommodation or vergence disorders, strabismus, amblyopia, eye movement disorders, and double vision.
  • VT2: Practices  providing non-motor, or what is often called “visual processing, or perceptual” therapy
  • VT3: Practices providing both motor and visual processing therapy

Myopia Control

  • MC1: Practices providing medication-management of myopia control
  • MC2: Practices providing only contact lens management of myopia control

Dry Eye Management

  • DM1: Practices providing diagnosis and treatment of dry eyes
